About Our Herd

*DNA will be on record with ADGA for our breeding Bucks and most Does

in 2021 with plans to DNA our entire herd*

We researched Nigerian Dwarfs for about 4 years prior to purchasing our first animals. From the beginning we focused on buying our goats from farms that had yearly tested their Nigerian Dwarf herds for disease - ( Johnnies, CAE & CL ( and TB and Brucellosis from certified free states). Secondly, we focused our attention to milking lines and conformation to build our herd and continually search for complementary milking lines to add to our herd.

If new stock is purchased, they are from tested herds, have USDA veterinarian health certificates and Michigan required Brucellosis testing.  The new goats are then quarantined for a minimum of 30 to 45 days.

We look at the genetic milking ability, DHIR records, show records and the breed standard when we began our search for our herd foundation animals. This is a continual process as we gain more knowledge and insight.

We have quite a diverse herd - some are polled, a few have blue eyes, some have moon spots, some have frosted ears, and some have face stripes - all mixed into a variety of colors and patterns - all beautiful of course!

Our Nigerian Dwarfs are tested clean for diseases such as CE, CAE, and Johnnies in 2018, 2019, and 2020 by our veterinarian prior to breeding.

Our diverse herd genetics include many well-known does and bucks from farms like Old Mountain Farm, Sugar Moon, Buttin' Heads, Bramblestone, Dragonfly, Sweet DD, Rosasharn, NC Promisedland and Piddlin Acres among others.
