Welcome to the Mitten Acres Help Center. Below you will find a collection of some of the most frequently asked questions about our Goat Herd, Our Wait List, Pricing, Visiting Our Farm, Goat Milk Products for Sale and Goat Care . However, if you still have additional questions after consulting our list of FAQs, then please get in touch directly and we will happy to answer any additional questions.

Do you have any kids available?  Available kids will be posted on our website.

Do you offer stud-services?  No we do not offer stud services due to health and biosecurity concerns of our herd and farm.  We are in the planning stages to implement AI (artificial insemination) services for people wanting stud services.

Do you sell bottle babies? (Babies that are not weaned.)  No, we do not sell un-weaned babies.

Do you bottle feed the kids? We prefer to have our nannies raise their babies but while on milk test, we've begun to bottle feed all of the kids.  We handle the kids everyday and work with them to be accepting of humans and to be friendly.   We've not noticed a big difference in friendliness between dam raised and bottle fed when the kids are handled daily.

Do you have farm tours?  Due to biosecurity concerns, no we do not have tours of our farm.

Do you disbud your goats? We have our kids disbudded by our veterinarian under anesthesia and a pain block. Disbudding is required under either ADGA and/or AGS rules.

Are the goats tattooed?  Yes, we tattoo the goats for registration and identification.

Do you DNA your goats?  Yes, we began this year (2021) both bucks and does.

Are the kids vaccinated?  Yes.  We vaccinate the kids a few days before they are scheduled to be picked up with their CD & T vaccine.  (A booster will be needed after 3 weeks by their new owner.)
